Konica Minolta’s Page Scope Mobile has won the Outstanding Mobile Print Application in the BLI 2014 Mid-Year Pick Awards.
“Konica Minolta PageScope Mobile packs a powerful punch with its strong feature set and, in particular, excellent security functions,” said BLI Solutions Analyst Ilja Reuckis. “While mobile printing is becoming so prevalent, the practice is not without significant IT risk. PageScope Mobile mitigates most of that risk with some of the most stringent security features we’ve seen.”
It is a free app for Android and iOS devices that offers users the ability to print documents stored on the mobile device, in the cloud, or attached to emails, and more. The easy-to-navigate app offers a plethora of print settings, including the ability to save frequently used settings as favorites. Importantly, PageScope Mobile includes a wide range of security features that help protect company data, such as secure print release and QR code authentication. Other distinguishing features include support for printing a wider than average range of document types, including Microsoft Office legacy file formats; robust scanning options; and the ability to take photos with the mobile device’s camera and instantly print them, which is useful for mobile workers as it saves the extra step of taking a photo with the device camera and then opening the app to print it.
“As companies expect more mobility and flexibility in the workplace, this is a great recognition of the simple-to-use solution Konica Minolta is able to provide customers. It’s another example of how Konica Minolta has been able to respond to users’ needs with a relevant, and highly effective solution,” says Stevan Caldwell, National Marketing Manager, Konica Minolta Business Solutions Australia.
