James brings a wealth of knowledge to our technician team, with 8 years’ experience in all Konica
Minolta Machines. He started his career as an offset printer, then moved back to Toowoomba and
worked for Konica Minolta before the lure to return to the Gold Coast brought him to Document
Solutions. James’s quiet and hardworking ethics always gets the job done and done well. He is married
with 4 children, loves motor sports, 4WDing, fishing and is a keen carpenter building solid timber
furniture from recycled timber.

Q. Tell me a little about your personal life – are you married, children?

James: I was born in Toowoomba at an early age and I have lived in New Zealand, South Australia, and
the Gold Coast twice. I am married to Suzanne and have 4 kids: Alex (16), Aidan (15), Saffron (11) and
Lucas (7).

Q. How did you become a technician?

James: I worked most of my working life as an offset printer and having rose to the top of my game
, became a bit stagnant. My good friend who was a partner at Konica Minolta in Toowoomba needed a
new Tech so I threw my hat in the ring and they hired me as a trainee. That was 7 years ago.

Q. How would you describe yourself in 3 words?

James: Perfectionist, Introspective, Sarcastic

Q. What is something about you that nobody here at Docsol’s knows?

James: Saved a group of High School Students from hypothermia and spending the night in the freezing
cold after our Geography teacher got us all lost on an expedition. Was on the news because of it.

Q. What is the best thing since sliced bread?

James: Big Boys Toys

Q. What is the best trip you have taken – where and why?

James: Fraser Island. It’s a fantastic place to get away and 4WD and I love to 4WD.

Q. If you won a million dollars, how would you spend it?

James: A big boat and a home theatre. Oh and a house to put them in.

Q. Name five famous people (dead or alive) that you would invite to your dinner party.

James: The four members of Pink Floyd and F1 champ Alain Prost

Q. Are you a dog or cat person?

James: Neither. But as I have to choose I would lean towards dog.

Q. If money and time was not an obstacle, what would you do with your life?

James: Yacht around the world and fish.
